She then introduces her idea for an organization known as the Peace Union, where the two groups would join together to ensure their mutual safety. Toshizo Hijikata goes along with Serizawa Kamo, and there Katsu Kaishu explains how ALICE is on the verge of a major conflict. Not too long afterwards, once Katsu Kaishu, the leader of BANG, returned from her business trip to the USA Branch, Katsu Kaishu sent an invitation to meet with the leaders of the Shinsengumi at the Ikedaya resturant. She then took over as commander of the Shinsengumi for the time being. Toshizo Hijikata scolded them both for their actions, and gave them a drinking ban. After the founder of the Shinsengumi, Serizawa Kamo, returned from his imprisonment in Paradise Lost, he got involved in a drunken incident with Isami Kondo that had to be broken up by herself and the adapter. Toshizo Hijikata is the vice commander of the Shinsengumi, under Isami Kondo.
